At the start of the animé everyone was like Light should win and he is right after L and light's father died everyone is like someone plz kick light's ass that emotionless bitch and after watching the last ep everyone is pretty happy 😂

In my opinion, this is THE biggest flaw in Death Note. if Sido doesn't come into the human world at this EXACT moment in time, there is no way anyone could EVER EVER EVER know this rule was fake. This was an invincible defense for Light! But he comes ALL OF A SUDDEN after FIVE YEARS of not having his notebook and wants it back. The biggest plot hole related to this comes later, but this is the root cause. Sido is a plot device and nothing more. He was here and gone in one episode...

I find this REALLY unlikely. Mello is a brilliant detective, so this line is dumb. The chief has been a cop, rising up the ranks, for decades! There's a higher likelihood that he has killed someone than not.

At the end of the day, when this is all said and done, you have to have the most sympathy for Light's mom. She's been given little screen time but goes through so much. Ryuk was right that their family was cursed (though, he is the one who cursed them...for his entertainment).
